New Assistant Priest (Curate) : We are delighted to welcome Fr Joe Mc Gill as the newly appointed Assistant Priest to St John’s Barrhead. He will take up his new post on Monday the 18th of September. He has been Ordained Priest for two years and has spent those two years in St Laurence’s, Greenock. He is from Clarkston and studied for the Priesthood at the Angelicum and Gregorian Universities in Rome. Funerals this week: Monday 4th Sept James Mc Gettigan and Wednesday 6th Sept Lisa Challo (both at 10am) PVG Status and Safeguarding Training. There are still a number of PVG holders, who have not responded to email requests to update their Safeguarding training. To maintain PVG status, it is essential to keep training up to date.
