Baptisms, Wedding & Funerals

Baptisms

The Sacrament of Baptism is the first Sacrament we receive as members of the Holy Catholic Church.

Adults who are interested in joining the Catholic Church should contact our Parish Priest to discuss their intentions in the first instance and to plan out a programme of Catechises. This is usually done through the Parish's RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Group.

For parents who wish their new born/children to be baptised in the Catholic Church, please speak to our Parish Priest after Mass. Otherwise, for further information, telephone Saint John the Evangelist Parish or send us a message via the Contact us page.

Weddings

If you are planning your Catholic marriage in Saint John the Evangelist Parish, please contact our Parish Priest as soon as you have a date in mind. This must be done at least 6 months in advance of any proposed nuptials as a course of marriage instruction for the couple is normally advised.

For further information, telephone Saint John the Evangelist Parish or send us a message via the Contact us page.

Funerals

The death of a loved one is never an easy time for all concerned and the community of Saint John the Evangelist share in your mourning and offer our prayers to God, Our Almighty Father.

If you wish to arrange a funeral at Saint John the Evangelist following the passing of a loved one, please contact your chosen undertaker who will then contact the parish to arrange the date for a funeral Mass.
