Thank you: A big thank you to all those who have cleaned and prepared the Church, the florists who have decorated the Church with such beauty, our choirs/cantors, altar servers, sacristans, pass keepers and all those involved in the Christmas Masses and thank you for all your Christmas greetings, cards and gifts.
Wishing you all a Holy & Happy Christmas

Feast of the Holy Family:  Friday 30th of December.
Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God: Sunday 1st January 23. We will consecrate the Parish and our families to Our Blessed Mother at all Sunday Masses.
Solemnity of the Epiphany: Sunday 8th January.

Repairs/Renovations in Church/Hall/ Grounds: We have very recently changed the lighting around the Church and Hall, House, to LED, which will reduce our enormous electricity Bills. We have also changed the lighting on the Sanctuary and Oratory and entrances to LED lighting and now have new hand dryers in all the toilets. We have also installed Short Wave Infrared Heating that can be left on during Mass unlike the Fan Heating which is extremely noisy and distracting. The boiler in the hall and tea-room will have frost thermostats added to avoid a repeat of frozen pipes. Unfortunately, the tea-room had a burst pipe and will be out of commission for the foreseeable future.

Funerals this week: Marion Collins: Tues 6th Dec at 10.00am

Rorate Masses during the Wednesdays of Advent (7am) The Rorate Mass takes its name from the opening words of the Entrance Antiphon. which come from the Prophet Isaiah 45:8: “Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum, aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem.”“Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened and bud forth a Saviour.” This Mass is a Votive Mass in honour of Our Blessed Mother Mary. The Rorate Mass begins in the darkness of early morning and lit only by candlelight as the church becomes progressively brighter with the sunrise, so the coming of the Eternal Light, Jesus, whom we await during the Advent season, illuminates our faith in him as Saviour and Light of the World.
