Details of future talks in the series can be found on Facebook. Sacred Heart Companions Prayer Group – Will meet this Tuesday, 14th February, at 1 PM in the Oratory. Diocesan Lenten Catechesis 2023 - Jesus: The Source of Eternal Life - St. Mirin’s Cathedral, 2.00-4.,00pm Remembering our popular Lenten Catechesis of 2015, the diocese will be holding two Lenten Catecheses to prepare us for the Easter Season. Again, this can be a lovely Lenten penance for those who are wondering what to do this year. Sunday 12th March, Third Sunday of Lent, Bishop High Gilbert of Aberdeen will reflect on Jesus and the Woman at the Well and on Sunday 26th March, Fifth Sunday of Lent, Bishop Brian McGee of Argyll and the Isles, will reflect on Jesus and Lazarus. As well as Bishops’ Catechesis there will be Testimony from Young People, Solemn Evening Prayer and Benediction with music led by our Diocesan Choir. Franciscan Missionary Appeal - The Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa will join us on February 19th to raise awareness of their important apostolate. The order was founded by Mother Mary Kevin in Uganda in 1903 and is engaged in ministry in over five counties in Africa. The sisters are involved in a wide variety of work including education, nursing, prison ministry, care of the elderly, woman, children, and the formation of young African Religious. Thank you! – The Comboni Missionary Sisters send their thanks and assurance of prayers to you for supporting their work by purchasing calendars made by the order at the end of January; they raised £176. Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes - 30 June - 7 July 2023. Prices start at £859 Esplanade Eden, £919 foe Beau Site, and £984 for the Hotel Padoue.
