Changes to Abortion Law: A cross-party group of MPs will table an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill to reduce the abortion time limit from 24 to 22 weeks. Please take away a Right to Life UK postcard, available in the porch. Fill it in and send it to your MP to vote for this reduction. 
 
40 Days for Life: You are invited to join the 40 Days for Life Peaceful Prayer and Fasting Vigil outside of the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, which takes place from 8am until 8pmeach day from Ash Wednesday until Palm Sunday. For more info, email [email protected].
 
Stations of the Cross: Stations of the Cross this Sunday at 2pm and on Friday after the 10:00 Mass.
 
Young Adults’ Pilgrimage: The Diocesan Young Adults office hopes to arrange a pilgrimage to Poland from 5-12 August 2024 for those aged 18-35 years old. We will stay in Krakow with visits to the St John Paul II Centre, Divine Mercy Sanctuary, Salt Mine Museum, Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and the Częstochowa Sanctuary. Flights from/to Edinburgh. Young Adults: The ‘Christ in the Covenants’ series continues with a talk from Fr Joshua Moir, who will explore God’s promises made through the prophets. Aged 18-35? Come along to learn more about the Faith and to meet other young Catholics. The talk begins at 7pm in the Diocesan office on Wednesday 6th March. It will end with Adoration and Benediction, followed by an opportunity to socialise in a local bar. Safeguarding Training: Safeguarding induction training has been reorganised into one course only. If you are a new volunteer, or one who completed the Part 1 training course more than a year ago, you are invited to sign up for one of the next training sessions taking place on Tue 5th Mar at 7pm in St John’s parish hall, Barrhead.
 
First Friday Children’s Rosary in St Johns: This Friday at 6.00pm. This is an opportunity, for children of all ages to gather together to pray the rosary. All families are invited to attend and pre- school children are very welcome. The idea is that children as young as 4 or 5 and up to around 14 can learn to lead the rosary and make the rosary part of their daily lives. The rosary only lasts around 15 minutes. Monthly Divine Mercy Devotions: The next Divine Mercy monthly Mass is this Wednesday 28 February  at 7 p.m. followed by Adoration at St Mary’s church, 163 George Street, Paisley PA1 2UN.
