New Gift Aid Weekly & Second Collection Envelopes for 23-24: These are now available from the link corridor for those who pay tax. Family Night & Meal To welcome all our new parishioners and to give all parishioners a chance to meet and enjoy good food, there will be a dinner in the hall on Friday 19th May at 7pm. The idea is that everyone brings a dish of prepared food to share. Hopefully this will lead to a mix of traditional Scottish fayre and food from other countries such as Hong Kong, Nigeria, Poland, Italy, Singapore & Spain. The parish will supply the crockery, glasses and cutlery. There will also be some haggis neeps and tatties on offer. Please bring your own drinks (byob). Fr Jonathan Parish Presentation: This will begin with Mass on Friday 26th May at 6.30pm, followed by a presentation in the hall. There is a box in front of the Our Lady Statue to place monies for a gift from the parish. A Family Day with Mary – Sunday 14th May: Join families from throughout the Diocese at St. John’s, for an afternoon of celebration in honour of Mary our Mother which includes prayer, activity and games for children. The day will begin with refreshments at 2pm, and concludes with Holy Mass at 4pm celebrated by Bishop John. No 5pm Mass on this day. Fatima Vigils, Howwood: This Friday 12th May. The facilities will be open from 7pm. Rosary Procession at 7.30pm, followed by the celebration of Mass, finishing with a period of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction. Diocesan Young Adults (18-35): Our series of talks, In God's Image: A Defence of Catholic Moral Teaching, continues on Wed 31st May. In the next talk, The Lord Gave, and the Lord Has Taken Away, Dr Joseph Bradley will discuss euthanasia. Please arrive at the Diocesan Offices before 7pm. The talk will be followed by an opportunity to socialise over drinks in a local bar. Details of future talks in the series can be found on Facebook. Diocese of Paisley Safeguarding Thought for the Month: Safeguarding is a duty that is rooted in the message of Jesus and in the mission of the Catholic Church. Diocesan Lourdes Hospitalité: There will be buses to take pilgrims to Edinburgh Airport on 30th June and return on 7th July. There will be a charge for the bus depending on numbers. The times of bus departure will depend on flight times and will be confirmed nearer the pilgrimage date. Contact [email protected] to book seat on buses. The Pre pilgrimage meeting is on Sunday 11th June at 2pm in St Ninian’s , Gourock. Teas/Coffees: There are teas/coffees after the 10.00am Mass this weekend.
