Bulletin Notices

The 3rd World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly: This will be celebrated on Sunday 23rd July 2023, has the theme, “His mercy is from age to age” (Lk 1: 50). This verse reminds us that God’s mercy is shown through the testimonies of those who have experienced it and passed it on to their children and grandchildren. We pray for all the elderly people within our families and parish communities.

Mercy Bus: The Mercy Bus is back in Scotland this year, our mission is to spread the Good News to all we meet.  Please come along and have tea/coffee some home baking and a chat with a priest or our team, or perhaps go to the Sacrament of Penance on the top deck of the Bus. All our items (rosaries, miraculous medals, divine mercy chaplets etc.) we give away have been blessed by Bishop John Keenan. Bishop John will be celebrating Holy Mass on the Saturday at 2 p.m. at TESCO Linwood. All are welcome on the following dates:

Monday 24 July 2023 11 a.m. – 3 pm. TESCO Port Glasgow PA14 5BP
Tuesday 25 July 2023 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. TESCO Coatbridge ML5 3SQ
Wednesday 26 July 2023 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. TESCO Port Glasgow PA14 5BP

Saturday 29 July 2023 11 a.m. – 3p.m. TESCO Linwood, Paisley PA3 3DB

SPUC Petition to Prime Minister: Next weekend SPUC will be holding a Petition Day calling on the Prime Minister to end the UK Government unacceptable funding of China’s totalitarian state. China imposes forced abortion, sterilisation and infanticide on it’s own population, notably the Uyghur minority. According to the Chief Commissioner of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact, the UK Government sent over £60 Million to China in 20-21. Please sign the petition next weekend to help SPUC defend unborn babies and their mothers, by highlighting this terrible human rights abuse.

Pro-Life Mass: The monthly Pro-Life Mass is on Wednesday, 19th July at 7.30pm at Holy Cross, 113 Dixon Ave, G42 8ER. Adoration begins at 6.15pm. Tea in the hall afterwards – all welcome. The celebrant will be Mgr John Tormey
