Year of St Joseph (8th Dec 2020- 8th Dec 2021)
Pope Francis, proclaimed a special “Year of St Joseph,” on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception 2020 and it extends to the same feast in 2021.At the conclusion of his Letter, he adds another prayer to St Joseph, which he encourages all of us to pray together. We will recite this Prayer after Mass concludes each day to mark the Year of St Joseph. There are other Prayers to St Joseph in St Thomas website under the title Prayers. A votive Mass to St Joseph will be celebrated each Wednesday out with the Liturgical Seasons of Lent/Easter/Advent/Christmas. Wednesday is traditionally the day we pray to St Joseph.
“Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To you God entrusted his only Son; in you Mary placed her trust; with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage, and defend us from every evil.” Amen. (Pope Francis)
“This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.” Are you listening to him? Is he calling you to serve his people in priesthood or consecrated life? Please contact Fr. John Morrison tel: 01418895056 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org

It costs the parish £800 each year to buy envelopes for collections. To aid our budgeting this year the following changes will have to be made.

Presentation on Blessed Titus Brandsma
This will take place on Sunday the 7th of March @ 4pm. To register contact email@example.com or telephone 07849 596572
When Blessed Titus Brandsma was accused by some of his students of speaking about God in all his teachings in philosophy, he responded: “I can’t help it, that in all things, God gives witness to himself”. In all things God gives witness to himself: in all creation, in all that is; light, shadow and darkness. In reflecting on the life and teachings of this martyr, we can learn that the way he did not succumb in the cruelty of Camp Amersfoort and Dachau, is fundamentally embedded in his spirituality, which is thoroughly Carmelite.
