ONLINE DONATIONS FACILITY NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Sadly, after just a short time using the 'Donate Now' facility, this service has had to be withdrawn by the parish. This is beacuse Charity Choice, who run the scheme, have decided to start charging both you and the parish transaction fees and maintenance fees respectively. Therefore, we do not consider this to be fair or ethical, particularly for a registered charity.
However, if you would still wish to make a donation to the parish at anytime, particularly at major feasts like Christmas or Easter, you can still do so in the following ways.
Write a cheque made payable to Saint John the Evangelist Parish, place it in an envelope and either hand or send this into the parish house or directly to Father Paul Brady, Parish Priest or Father Eoin Patten, Curate.
Also our new Standing Order Form and Gift Aid Declaration Form will allow you to make any offerings and donations that you would wish to make to the parish in an easier, more convenient way. Just download the forms via the links above and follow the instructions on the form(s). Please remember also that if you are a UK Tax Payer, you can Gift Aid any contributions that you make at no extra cost to yourself. By doing so, the parish benefits greatly from claiming back the taxable element of your contribution.

CHRISTMAS CONFESSIONS

NEW PARQUET FLOOR
The work on the parquet flooring is now complete. The cost of the work was met by an insurance claim made earlier in the year for a burst pipe that flooded the Church. Please be more conscious of cleaning your feet before entering the Church, and of the footwear you wear to Mass. Would it damage our floor?
THE JESSE TREE
This year, the Jesse Tree will be used to raise funds for Mary’s Meals. Envelopes are available to place your gift inside. Just £9.00 can feed a child for 1 whole year. There are various envelopes with pictures of Christmas delights such as chocolates and cakes with a suggested price. You may wish to then contribute the price of one of these items to feed a child. Mary’s Meals provide a basic meal to 581,000 children every day. An average cost of a meal is a mere 4 pence!
