Physical Distance Based Capacity |
In Level 3 or below, we are not restricted to a maximum capacity of 50, however we do need to ensure that physical distancing is in place between members of different households meaning that our capacity is now restricted based on this measure. To maximise the space in the church and allow as many people to safely attend Mass as possible, stewards will direct all parishioners to a seat in the church. Please follow the guidance of the stewards at all times.
When open to the public, booking is essential for weekend Masses. If you are unable to attend Mass or a funeral, baptism or wedding, you can join online via our live stream.

Donations
Quite a few people have been asking how they go about keeping up their donations to the parish during this period. It is very true many charities and parishes as well as businesses will suffer greatly during this time, ourselves included. Any donation you wish to make to the parish will be gratefully accepted for payment of bills, etc.
The best way to go about this would be to either hand a donation into the parish house or to set up a temporary standing order via your bank. There is a form above which can be downloaded should you wish to do so. Please fill it in and return it either via email or to the chapel house so that the Parish Priest can complete it and forward it to your bank. These forms are also available in the porch of the church.
Additionally, the Diocese has made it easy for parishioners to donate directly to St John's using an online donation facility called MyGivingHub from PayaCharity. This allows you to make a single, weekly, or monthly donation of your choice and also offers the ability of collecting Gift Aid. Click the link above to donate now.
