Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a fantastic way for you to contribute more money than that which you currently give to Saint John the Evangelist Parish without having to put your hand in your pocket yet again.
The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax. Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. Charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) take your donation - which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its 'gross' equivalent - the amount before basic rate tax was deducted.
Therefore, if you make regular offerings at Holy Mass in Saint John the Evangelist Parish and are a UK Tax Payer, you can Gift Aid your offerings. As a registered charity, the Diocese of Paisley (and thus Saint John the Evangelist Parish) can claim back money from HM Revenue & Customs on any donations you make to us as a charity. Thus if you give £10.00 using Gift Aid, it's worth £12.50 to the parish.
If you are not yet signed up and wish to do so, please download Saint John the Evangelist Gift Aid Declaration Form. Please complete the form, print it off and return to either Father Paul Brady, Parish Priest or Father Eoin Patten, Curate.
Alternatively, you can email your completed Gift Aid Declaration Form directly to the parish at stjohnsbarrhead@gmail.com.
You can also pick one up from the back of the church. If you are not sure where these are, please ask one of the passkeepers or contact either Father Paul Brady, Parish Priest or Father Eoin Patten, Curate for further details.
