Congratulations to the Primary 4 Children of St Mark’s PS who celebrated their First Holy Communion this weekend. Many thanks to their families and teachers for preparing them so well. A special thanks to all who made the hall look so beautiful, including Michelle for the flowers. Many thanks to our sacristans and to all who cleaned and prepared the hall. Prayer to St Michael: St Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. We pray for those who have died recently: Eileen McBride and Steven McCaffrey. We pray for the anniversaries of: Betty Boyle, John Buchanan, Linzi Geddes, Archie and Mary Hughes, Brian McCool, John McGorrian, Matilda McGorrian, Mary McNamara, Thomas Pearson and for the six month’s mind of Jim Murphy.
