Sick and Retired Clergy Collection - 19th May: We remember our Sick & Retired Priests of the diocese with great love and affection. We have eleven retired priests, still active in prayer and witness: one living in Rome, one living in Chile, three in houses throughout the diocese, five in parish presbyteries, and one at the Residence of the Little Sisters. We thank God for the gift of these priests and keep them in our prayers. In 2022 our two special collections and Friends Campaign raised £50,953 which represents 37% of our expenditure of £136,824 i.e. a shortfall of £85,871, which was met by the Sick & Retired Priests Investment income.

Action Alert. Email our MP: Sir Liam Fox MP has tabled an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill that seeks to end abortion up to birth for unborn babies with Down’s syndrome. The campaign group Don’t Screen Us Out have launched a tool which makes it easy to email your MP and ask them to vote in support of the amendment. Go to the Parish website and click the button shown to contact our MP using their tool. It only takes 30 seconds.
