Glasgow (6.30pm). Bishop John invites you to attend this Mass and to pray between now and the 12th of September for an
increase in Vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate and Consecrated Life. You may find it suitable to offer a daily Rosary or a visit
to the Blessed Sacrament for this intention.

Sponsored Camino Pilgrimage: Gerry McBride, is walking the St Francis section (116km) of the Camino in October for the Celtic
Foundation, which will be particularly focussed this year on children’s development projects. You can support Gerry's efforts by
visiting https://bit.ly/McBride-Camino. All donations will be gratefully received.

Parish Meetings to explain the Assisted Suicide Bill and how to stop it: The real facts about the Assisted Dying Bill and how it
will change health care in Scotland for good- for you, your elderly and vulnerable ones- should concern you. The Bill is before
Parliament and could pass the critical Stage One by the end of the year which will effectively ensure State sanctioned euthanasia
in Scotland. So, action is urgent. If our MSPs hear nothing from us as citizens, they will feel free to vote it in. Deanery meetings
around our diocese will help parishioners build local momentum to make MSPs sit up, take notice and vote against it. Please
come to our meetings and invite anyone concerned about this watershed moment. Bishop John will attend all meetings. Mon
9th September at 7.00pm. St. Joseph’s Hall, Clarkston (East Ren Meeting),

Catholic Mothers: exists to connect, inspire, and equip women in the vocation of motherhood. Our group runs every Tuesday
mornings in the Church hall after 10am Mass-12.00pm. Meet ups are very relaxed, where mums or grandmothers can bring their
children along to play while the mothers and grandmothers gather round the table with a cuppa, have a catch up and chat. The
topics are usually connected to that week's circulated podcast episode, book extract, Saint or Feast days. For more information
please contact: Rachel Callaghan (Core Team Member) 07508835310 Or e-mail: [email protected]

Confiteor:
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in
what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the
Lord our God.

Gloria: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you; we bless you, we adore you, we
glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only
Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take
away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you
alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of
God the Father. Amen.

Nicene Creed: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I
Believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages God from God, Light from
Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us
For us For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (At the words that follow up to and including and “became
man”, all bow.) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day, in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the
dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father
and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one,
holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of
the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Mystery of Faith:
We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection until you come again.
Or: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again
Or: Save us, Saviour of the world, for by your Cross and Resurrection you have set us free

Prayer  to St Michael, the Archangel: St Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of
God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
