Fatima Vigil Monday 12th August: Christ the King, Howwood beginning at 7.30 p.m. with Rosary, Mass, Exposition and Benediction
 
Mass times for Solemnity of the Assumption:   Vigil 7pm on Wednesday 14th Aug and 8 a.m. & 10 a.m. on Thursday the 15th Aug (Primaries will attend the 10 a.m. Mass)
 
National Pilgrimage to Whithorn Sunday 25th August: Mass close to St Ninian’s Cave at 4 pm and for those unable to walk to the shore, Mass at 4.45.p.m. in St Martin & St Ninian’s Church, Whithorn at 4.45 p.m.
 
The Income Generation Appeal: This will take place this year on the weekend of 24/25 August and after Mass, parishioners are asked to take one copy of the Income Generation Report per family. The drive for this year focuses on an increase in membership to the ‘Friends Programme’ which parishioners can sign up for after Mass, or they may choose to sign up at a later date using the form
enclosed in the Report
 
Pastoral Visit of the Apostolic Nuncio to the Diocese of Paisley 28th -30th  August: In the Papal Representative, we welcome the Holy Father to our Diocese   The centrepiece is the Celebration of Holy Mass in Saint Mirin’s Cathedral at 7.00 p.m. on the Thursday 29th  August. followed by Refreshments in Hall. 
 
National Pilgrimage to Carfin Sunday 1st September: Mass at the Grotto at 3 p.m. Mass will be followed by a Rosary Procession.
 
Alpha Parenting: Five sessions designed to help carers & parents and expecting parents from 0-10 years to equip children for life. This will take place in St Joseph’s Clarkston from Sept 3rd to 1st Oct from 8 p.m. -9.30 p.m. Contact Mark Lilly: 07545974225 or Maria Sutton: 07952440756
 
March for Life UK 2024: This will take place on Saturday 7th September in London. There is an overnight coach for pro-lifers wishing to attend. Pickup from Paisley St Mirin’s Cathedral (midnight) and Glasgow St Andrew’s Cathedral (12.30 a.m.). Youth to Lourdes 2025: In S3-S6?  We will leave Scotland on Thursday 26th June 2025 and return on Friday 4thJuly. Transport by bus & ferry. The pilgrimage costs £750 but with a deposit of £75.00 before our first meeting on Sunday 7th September at the Diocesan Offices in Paisley, you will qualify for an Early Bird rate of £700!
