East Renfrewshire constituency candidates from the five main political parties will be present. Come along to hear what they say and to put your own questions to them.

Value Your Vote: SPUC has launched a campaign to encourage voters to protect the most vulnerable members of our society from the womb to the tomb with advanced tools at www.spuc.org.uk/valueyourvote to support you in making your pro-life vote count. Despite the staggering scale of abortion alongside growing momentum for legislation to permit assisted suicide, the Catholic Church is almost alone in recognising the gravity of the situation for society.  This online tool can help you make your voice count.

New Lectionary Advent 24: As a Parish we have had to purchase 1 of the 4-volume Ambo Editions (larger) and 2 of the 4-volume Chapel Editions (smaller) for our two Primary Schools. If you would like to dedicate a volume in memory of a loved one, please speak to Fr Joe Balmer. Each volume of the Ambo Edition costs £175; each volume of the Chapel Edition costs £100.

SPUC Parish Representative: The role of these Church Reps is to act as a point of contact and liaison between the Parish Priest and SPUC, so that as issues and initiative pertaining to the pro-life struggle arises, the Church Rep within our parish would be the one to take the lead on them. If there was a petition that needed to be circulated, or if an SPUC White Flower was being organised in our parish,  the Church Rep would be relied upon to implement these initiatives. If interested see one of the priests.

National response to Synod Synthesis Report: -Please find a copy of this on the Diocesan website. Please continue to pray for the success of this worldwide Synod process.

Confiteor:
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned,  in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Gloria: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you; we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most  High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Glory

Nicene Creed:  I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I Believe in   one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (At the words that follow up to and including and “became man”, all bow.) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day, in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Mystery of Faith:
We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection until you come again.
Or: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again
Or:  Save us, Saviour of the world, for by your Cross and Resurrection you have set us free

Prayer to St Michael, the Archangel: St Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.   May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
