World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly Carfin Grotto (Sunday 26th July):
Everyone is warmly invited to a special celebration of the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly at Carfin Grotto on Sunday 26th July. Bishop John Keenan will celebrate Holy Mass at 3pm as we give thanks for the invaluable contribution of grandparents and the elderly to our families, parishes and communities. Please bring your grandparents, family members and friends. All are welcome.

A warm welcome to the 20 parishioners who have joined the 200 Club since its recent relaunch – there are now 110 members. But there are still plenty of spaces and numbers available! Please consider supporting the restoration fund, while having the chance to win up to £100 in the monthly draw. Contact Karen McPhee on: 07923 564434 and she will allocate you a number. This number is ESSENTIAL when setting up your monthly payment, to ensure that it goes to the 200 Club Account and that you are included in the draw. Payment is by Standing Order, £5 per month, and should be made on the 18th of the month. After three weeks any unclaimed prizes will be added to the Restoration Fund.

Pilgrimage for Life Carfin Grotto (Saturday 1st August):
The annual Pilgrimage for Life will take place at Carfin Grotto on Saturday 1st August. Led by Bishop John Keenan, the day offers an opportunity for prayer, reflection and witness to the dignity and sanctity of every human life. The programme includes: 12 noon – Holy Mass, 2pm – Eucharistic Adoration, 2:15pm – Stations of the Cross, 2:45pm – Divine Mercy Chaplet, 3:30pm – Holy Rosary. Families are especially encouraged to attend. All are welcome.
 
 
SCIAF Shield 5-a-side football tournament (Saturday 1st August): 
SCIAF are encouraging parishes across the Diocese to sign up for this year’s SCIAF Shield. Their annual 5-a-side football tournament held in Shawlands takes place on 1st August. Parishes from across Scotland will be represented and take part in a day focusing on faith, football and fundraising. Millions of Monicas (Tuesday 4th August): 
A new Millions of Monicas prayer group is beginning at the parish of Saint Charles Borromeo, Paisley. They will meet on the first Tuesday of the month, starting on Tuesday 4th August, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the church. Women from surrounding parishes are welcome to join and gather for one hour of guided prayer, which always includes a Rosary for our children in need of God’s mercy and a return to the practice of their Catholic faith. All women are welcome. Many who come are mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and confirmation sponsors, following the example of Saint Monica in her perseverance in prayer. Kiltwalk / Paisley 10K (Sunday 16th August):
Anwar Rafiq and Councillor Chris Lunday have very generously offered to raise money for the restoration of our beautiful church.  Anwar is doing the Dundee Kiltwalk on 16th Aug and on the same day, Cllr Lunday will be pounding the streets of Paisley doing the 10k!  Please lend them your support and help them reach their target of £1,000 each!  And please share with all your family and friends!  Let’s smash their target!

Fatima Vigil in Howwood (Sunday 12th July):
The Fatima Vigil is held in Christ the King Church, Howwood on the 12th of each month from May to October. The next Vigil will take place on Sunday 12th July. The Vigil begins with a Rosary procession (weather allowing) at 7:30pm, followed by Holy Mass and Benediction. Refreshments are available in the hall afterwards.
Monthly pro-life Mass (Wednesday 15th July): 
The monthly pro-life Mass is on Wednesday 15th July at 7:30pm at Holy Cross, 113 Dixon Avenue, G42 8ER. Adoration begins at 6:15pm. Tea in the hall afterwards – all welcome. The celebrant will be Father Alex Strachan.
 
Relics of Saint Gerard Majella (Saturday 18th July): 
The Redemptorists around the world are celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Saint Gerard Majella, an Italian lay-brother popularly invoked as The Mother's Saint. As part of this his relics will be visiting the heart of Edinburgh: Saint Patrick's Church, which was once home to a Redemptorist Community. It will take place on Saturday 18th July, with the entrance of the relics at 10am, time for personal prayer, and a Mass at 12:30pm. SCIAF are encouraging parishes across the Diocese to sign up for this year’s SCIAF Shield. Their annual 5-a-side football tournament held in Shawlands takes place on 1st August. Parishes from across Scotland will be represented and take part in a day focusing on faith, football and fundraising. Millions of Monicas (Tuesday 4th August): 
A new Millions of Monicas prayer group is beginning at the parish of Saint Charles Borromeo, Paisley. They will meet on the first Tuesday of the month, starting on Tuesday 4th August, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the church. Women from surrounding parishes are welcome to join and gather for one hour of guided prayer, which always includes a Rosary for our children in need of God’s mercy and a return to the practice of their Catholic faith. All women are welcome. Many who come are mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and confirmation sponsors, following the example of Saint Monica in her perseverance in prayer. Kiltwalk / Paisley 10K (Sunday 16th August):
Anwar Rafiq and Councillor Chris Lunday have very generously offered to raise money for the restoration of our beautiful church.  Anwar is doing the Dundee Kiltwalk on 16th Aug and on the same day, Cllr Lunday will be pounding the streets of Paisley doing the 10k!  Please lend them your support and help them reach their target of £1,000 each!  And please share with all your family and friends!  Let’s smash their target!

200 Club Relaunch — Latest News:
A warm welcome to the 20 parishioners who have joined the 200 Club since its recent relaunch – there are now 110 members. But there are still plenty of spaces and numbers available! Please consider supporting the restoration fund, while having the chance to win up to £100 in the monthly draw. Contact Karen McPhee on: 07923 564434 and she will allocate you a number. This number is ESSENTIAL when setting up your monthly payment, to ensure that it goes to the 200 Club Account and that you are included in the draw. Payment is by Standing Order, £5 per month, and should be made on the 18th of the month. The draw will take place at the end of the month and the winners will be published in the bulletin. Prizes can be collected from the sacristy. After three weeks any unclaimed prizes will be added to the Restoration Fund.

Piety Stall, Summer Closure:
The Piety stall will be closed for the summer. The last date will be Sunday 5th July. It will reopen again on Sunday 23rd August. If anyone needs an item over this period, ask Mary Hallan at Mass.
 
Relics of Saint Gerard Majella (Saturday 18th July): 
The Redemptorists around the world are celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Saint Gerard Majella, an Italian lay-brother popularly invoked as The Mother's Saint. As part of this his relics will be visiting the heart of Edinburgh: Saint Patrick's Church, which was once home to a Redemptorist Community. It will take place on Saturday 18th July, with the entrance of the relics at 10am, time for personal prayer, and a Mass at 12:30pm. Father Royston Price CSsR is organizing the event and can be contacted for more details at [email protected].

The Action of Barrhead Churches (ABC) is pleased to announce that it has organised a picnic in the Cowan Park on Sunday 19th July from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Please bring your own food, games and pray for sunshine!
