Stewards will monitor when the Hall Car park is full, so please be directed by them. Sunday 10am Mass goers please remember that the 11.30 am Mass will be arriving at about 11.15am so please go directly to your car after your Mass is ended.
Please be directed by stewards for seating in the Hall. Please can you sit in the middle seats, so that people arriving later don’t have to try and get past you. Communion lines will start with the front rows in the Hall. Please be directed by stewards.
Daily Mass, Adoration, Confessions, and Rosary as normal. Saturday Morning Mass and Vigil Mass and confessions as usual. Sunday Masses and Baptisms at the weekend are at the normal times.

Sheridan, Nan Brady, Margaret Conafray, Sharon Giblin, Christopher Gribben, Eleanor and James Hunter, Ian Morton and for the six month’s mind of George McMillan, William McNamara, , twelve month’s mind of Michael Docherty and Angela Grimes.

We remember especially this week Pope Francis on the first anniversary of his death (21st April).

Gift Aid Boxes:
Gift Aid boxes are now available for collection at the back of the church for the start of the new tax year. If you donate by standing order there are boxes for the Special Collection only. Many people who donate by standing order have asked for these for the second collections only.
If you donate through gift aid and do not have a standing order, please pick up a full set of envelopes at the back of the church.
There are lists with names and the envelope number.

Full Boxed Envelopes run from 1 to 90. These are found on the table on the right. Special Collection Boxed Envelopes numbered from 91 to 220. are on the table by the choir stairs.  We ran out of some Special Collection Boxed Envelopes – those after 180 on the list have now arrived and ready for uplifting.
Thank you to all our parishioners who donate regularly, whether with Gift Aid or not. Our Annual Collections increased by 7% last year, and our Special Collections (including the Building Fund collection) increased by 24%. Thank you to everyone for your generosity. May God reward you.

If you wish to set up standing order instead of using church envelopes or the plate collection, you can fill out a standing order form at the back of the church and return it to Fr John. If  you pay tax on your income please consider signing a Gif Aid Form. You do not lose any money but the church benefits (this year Gift Aid income realised over £25,000). Alternatively, you can set up your donation online. Parish bank details as follows:

Prayer to St Michael:
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

An Exciting New Chapter for Our 200 Club:
We’re delighted to share that our 200 Club is set for a refresh and relaunch!
Over the coming months, we’ll be exploring new ways to re‑invigorate the club and raise its profile within our church family. A key part of this will be growing membership — because the more members we have, the more prizes we can offer, and the more money we can raise to support our Restoration Fund and the ongoing maintenance of our Parish Buildings.
There are no firm plans to announce just yet, but we wanted to raise awareness and generate some excitement as we begin shaping the next chapter of the 200 Club. Whether you’re already involved or have never joined before, we hope you’ll watch this space and consider being part of it.
More details coming soon – stay tuned!

St John’s Livestream:
Livestream will not be available, while Mass is being celebrated in the Hall. For those, who are housebound, Mass can be viewed online in various parishes within the Diocese of Paisley.
You can find the link to all Diocesan Livestream Masses at: https://rcdop.org.uk/parish-masses-online

Lost Property:
There are a considerable number of umbrellas, which have been left in the porch, as well as other items of lost property. After 5pm Mass on Sunday, there will be no access to the church. Please check to see if you have lost anything.
A green leather coin purse was also found a couple of months ago and has not been claimed.

St Vincent de Paul Society:
The SSVP provide spiritual, social and financial support to anyone in need. We visit parishioners of St John’s at their homes or in local care homes. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this offer from the members of the SVdP, please get in touch by calling: 075123 02877 or speak to one of our members after Mass who will be collecting for the Society in the porch.

Invitation to Join Eucharistic Adoration in the Parish Hall:
We hope to continue Eucharistic Adoration in the Hall Monday Wed and Friday after Mass till 1pm. If you would like to take part in this please sign up for doing a holy hour, so that there is always at least one person in the hall during exposition. If there is a funeral the Exposition will take place immediatley after the Funeral leaves the Hall.

Prayers for Fr Joe McGill’s dad, Stephen:
Fr Joe’s dad is now back home and making some progress. Please continue to keep Stephen, Fr Joe and his family in your prayers. They are very grateful for all your kind wishes and prayers.
